Jetzt wird es stark: "Soul Mirror" in Zürich
Nur noch eine Woche… am Donnerstag, 30.10.2025 um 17.30 h beginnt die Vernissage von „Soul mirror“ in der Neuen Privatbank Zürich, Limmatquai 1. Meine Galeristin Dr. Sophie Bien und die Verantwortlichen in der Bank arbeiten unter Hochdruck an dem, was erst ganz zuletzt möglich wird: Kataloge, Preislisten und natürlich die Hängung meiner Lieblinge.
Noch stehen die Arbeiten hier, wohl verpackt und nach Größe gestaffelt, noch warten sie auf die Kunstspedition, die dann schließlich am Freitag aus meinen Arbeiten ganz nüchtern eine „Ladung“ macht. Noch ist es wie vor Weihnachten: Aufregend und spannend – für mich eine ganz besondere Zwischenzeit. Getragen von einem guten Grundgefühl, denn die Resonanz in Zürich ist klasse, die Räume der Bank werden gut gefüllt sein! Aber noch ist „Soul Mirror“ eine Vision, ein Fokus, der Punkt, auf den all die Vorbereitungen zulaufen.
Auch im Atelier ist dieser Übergang zu spüren. Ich versorge die vorhandenen Bilder, bin befasst mit dem Überprüfen von älteren Arbeiten auf ihre Zukunftstauglichkeit und ordne die kleineren, schön gerahmten Zuschneidungen neu. Das ist kontemplativ und auf eine stille Art wohltuend, ein guter Rhythmus, der nichts mit der Hektik der Welt zu tun hat und mich Kraft sammeln lässt. Die Vernissage schließt diese Phase ab – Paukenschlag und tadaa! Ich freue mich sehr darauf.
Vielleicht treffen wir uns in Zürich? Es wäre mir ein Vergnügen! All diejenigen, die weder Kunst daheim noch bei mir oder in der Ausstellung an der Limmat sehen können, aus welchen guten Gründen auch immer, müssen unweigerlich mit diesem eklatanten Mangel an Schönheit leben. Now it gets intense: "Soul Mirror" in Zurich
Only one more week… on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 5:30 p.m., the vernissage of "Soul mirror" will take place at Neue Privatbank Zürich, Limmatquai 1. My agent Sophie Bien and the bank officials are working under pressure on what will only be possible at the very last minute: catalogs, price lists, and of course, hanging my favorites.
The works are still here, well-packed and sorted by size, waiting for the art shipping company that will make a "load" out of them on Friday. Days like days before Christmas: Exciting and thrilling – a very special interim period for me. Driven by a good feeling, because the response in Zurich is great, the bank's rooms will be well filled! But "Soul Mirror" is still a vision, a focus, the point toward which all the preparations are directed.
This transition is also noticeable in my studio. I provide the existing images, review older works for future viability, and re-arrange the smaller, beautifully framed cut-outs. This is contemplative and comforting in a quiet way; a fine rhythm that has nothing to do with the hustle and bustle of the world which allows me to gather strength. The vernissage then concludes this phase – a grand finale and tadaa!
Maybe we'll meet in Zurich? It would be a pleasure! All those who cannot see art at home, or at my place, or at the exhibition on the Limmat, for whatever good reasons, must inevitably live with this glaring lack of beauty.
